Susan Weltner-Brunton, Ph.D.

Susan Weltner-Brunton is an Ohio licensed psychologist specializing in psychological assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families. She is the President of Susan Weltner-Brunton, Ph.D. & Associates, Inc. She obtained her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Child and Developmental Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1985 and 1989, respectively. Her internship in Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology was completed at Children's Hospital in Columbus in 1989 followed by post-doctoral training at Harding Hospital. After working in community and private mental health settings, she established her private practice in Columbus in 1998. She has special training, interest, and expertise in learning disabilities, attention and emotional disorders, adolescent and young adulthood, parent counseling, and family therapy. Dr. Weltner-Brunton uses an integrative approach, incorporating her knowledge of developmental and family psychology, learning styles and cognitive abilities. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Ohio Psychological Association.

 

Laura L. Williams, Ph.D.

Laura L. Williams is an Ohio licensed psychologist and an independent contractor. She obtained her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degree from The Ohio State University in 1994 and 1998, respectively. She completed pre- and post-doctoral internships in Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus in 1998 and 1999. Before joining Susan Weltner-Brunton Ph.D. & Associates, Inc. she worked in local community mental health. Her interests include assessment of learning problems, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism spectrum disorders. She has special expertise in parent counseling and in treatment of preschool-aged children and children and adolescents with mood, anxiety, and behavioral disorders. Dr. Williams is currently a member of the American Psychological Association and the Central Ohio Psychological Association. She lives in central Ohio with her husband and three children.

 

Avalon Espinoza, MSW, LISW-S

 

Avalon Espinoza is an Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor Designation and an independent contractor. She obtained her Masters of Social Work in 1985 from the Ohio State University. She started practice as an adult & child therapist in community mental health and child & adolescent psychiatry. In 1998, she began working with patients and families with cancer and other complex medical conditions at Nationwide Children's Hospital with emphasis on psychosocial, grief-related and school issues. She has experience treating mood, trauma and anxiety disorders in children and adults.  In addition to her expertise in illness and trauma she has special interest in working with college-aged students, loss, and life adjustments. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Educational Specialists.

 

 

Nadiya Timperman, MS, MPH, RD, LD

Nadiya Timperman is a licensed and registered dietitian in Ohio. Nadiya has been in practice in Ohio for 13 years. She earned both her Masters of Science in Nutrition and Masters of Public Health from The University of Tennessee. Nadiya holds a certificate of training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in Weight Management and Counseling. Nadiya bases her approach to nutrition and wellness on meeting individuals at their needs and personal nutrition and activity goals. Nadiya helps her patients discover where they want to go, not where they have been. Her practice focuses on individual, small group, and family counseling. She also devotes time to group community education and academia at Otterbein University. Her interests include pediatric nutrition including weight management, choosy eating and failure-to-thrive, disordered eating, and public health initiatives towards obesity prevention. 

 

Sabrina Chow, Ph.D.


Sabrina Chow is an Ohio licensed psychologist and an independent contractor who specializes in psychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She obtained her Master of Arts in School Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from The State University of New York at Buffalo in 2004 and 2008, respectively. She completed pre- and post- doctoral internships in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York in 2008 and 2009. Before joining Susan Weltner-Brunton, Ph.D. & Associates, she worked in private practice in Columbus Ohio, and Redmond Washington. She has special interest and experience in treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, behavioral disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. She provides parent guidance and conducts evaluations for autism spectrum disorders and learning and attention issues.

Kerry Monahan, Psy.D.

Kerry Monahan is a pediatric neuropsychologist licensed in the state of Ohio. Dr. Monahan is an independent practitioner who has expertise in the neuropsychological evaluation of children, adolescents and young adults with medical diagnoses and associated developmental, learning and cognitive concerns. In addition, she specializes in evaluation of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities and general developmental concerns. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, she earned her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Indiana State University. She completed her doctoral internship in pediatric neuropsychology at Kennedy Krieger Institute/ Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and her two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the International Neuropsychological Society.

 Jane is a administrative assistant at Susan Weltner-Brunton, Ph.D. & Associates, Inc. Jane manages all billing and is happy to assist you! She loves the beach and spending time with her family. Jane is an avid Buckeye and Reds fan!
